Papo France Quetzalcoatlus – Hotaling

From its 12 meter wingspan and 8 meters long the quetzalcoatlus is one of the largest known pterosaurs. Disappeared 66 million years ago, it had a relatively elongated neck and a beak that can measure up to 2 meters long! Its large wings allowed it to use updrafts to hover but also to move on land.

The Dimetrodon is impressive with its huge dorsal veil and powerful jaw. This animal looks like a huge lizard with a wing maintained by long bony spines, rising vertically above each vertebra. Thus, Dimetrodon could regulate his body temperature, warming or cooling his body according to his habitat. This formidable carnivore measured about 11 feet and could reach impressive speeds despite his short legs.

Measuring 7 to 9 m, it moved around by gliding above the oceans to hunt fish in the same way our present-day pelicans do. Its jaw had no teeth, which seems to indicate that this excellent fishing predator swallowed the fish whole.
