This rum from Plantation's Single Cask series was distilled at Barbados's West Indies Rum Distillery on both pot and column stills. It was aged for 4 years in bourbon casks at its home in Barbados, before being moved to France where it aged a further 5.5 years in Ferrand Cognac casks. For most Plantation rums, this would be the end of it, but with the single cask series, there is also a tertiary maturation, in this case for 6 months in Oloroso Sherry casks.
