Baler knotter trouble

Been having trouble with baler knotter yesterday. Wasn't releasing the string after knotting. Probably did it 30+ times and six bales in a row at one stage and if you took the pin out and lifted the knotter up it released straight away. Also had a few strings from the same knotter pop after they
